I found 12 St. Petersburg stories, secrets, and riddles. They became the foundation for the photo narratives of this calendar, created for the 300th anniversary of the Venice of the North.
Why do the famous St. Petersburg lions rest their paws on stone spheres? What does the noon-day gun of the Peter and Paul Fortress say? And what is the connection between rapakivi and Catherine II?
Each month, there is one less mystery. By the end of December, none will remain. But the views of bridges, gates, fountains, and colonnades will stay—for the next 300 years.
