Ornamental Stories of Window Frames

We love exploring history and tradition. Our creative laboratory draws on the experience of national cultures around the world and reinterprets it in our own way.

The project “Ornamental Stories” is dedicated to the study of ancient Slavic architectural traditions. Famous carved window frames can still be found in villages today. Each pattern is a symbol rooted deep in centuries of history. Every window created according to ancestral traditions served as both a sign and a protective charm. In each region, these symbols developed their own distinctive style.

For this project, we selected 12 of the most significant symbols and reimagined them in an unexpected material — porcelain.

We created unique handmade Christmas ornaments, painted in the form of carved window frames, and accompanied them with a short study of traditional Slavic window symbolism.

The result is concise, beautiful, and informative.
